Heart To Teach Interview
Caption from Transform Heartminds’ Blog post.
A few months ago, my friend and mentor Carmen Teo (Mindfulness & Compassion Teacher, Certified MBSR Teacher Mentor/Supervisor, Founder of Mindful Insights & Transform Heartminds) invited me for an openhearted conversation, to explore my journey as a MBSR Teacher.
It’s always insightful—as a practitioner and teacher—to reflect back on the reasons that led us to Mindfulness in the first place. In this interview, I was moved by Carmen’s genuine curiosity and warmth, and truly happy to answer her questions and share some of the highlights (the joys and the challenges) of my experience as a MBSR Teacher.
As teachers in particular, when life gets hard and we may be losing our spirit, it can be helpful to remind ourselves why we chose this path—what are our core values, and what do we wish to share with the world.
This conversation was held in the context of the upcoming MBSR Teacher Training Intensive (led by Carmen Teo and Noriko Morito Hart from the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness) that will take place in Bali in April 2025.
